Two paths to no-cost, in-home care.
Most families haven't heard of either program before their child needed one. Here's the short version of what each one actually does.
What Is GAPP?
The Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP) is a Medicaid-funded program that provides skilled nursing and personal care to medically fragile children under 21, delivered in the home, at no cost to eligible families. Approval is based on the child's medical needs, not household income.
What Is the Katie Beckett Waiver?
The Katie Beckett Waiver extends Medicaid eligibility to children under 18 based on the level of care their condition requires, regardless of parental income. Children approved under Katie Beckett become eligible for the same in-home services covered under GAPP.
